Several high school students and two adult chaperones from St. Mary's joined with other students from across the diocese, across the state, and across the nation, all meeting at the March for Life held in Washington DC. Our group was gone Jan 15-20, 2024.
Attending from St. Mary's were: Kathryn Vearrier, Katie Schmidt, Jack Vearrier, Ava Augare, Levi Vearrier, and Brad Krebs. Clara Wagner, a family member of the Vearrier's, joined us in Fargo. Kris Ehlis and Sara Krebs served as chaperones, both for the St. Mary's students and other local students.
Trip highlights included: a very long bus ride (approx 30 hours one-way), time spent on the National Mall and in Smithsonian Museums, the Holocaust Museum, the John Paul II Shrine and Museum, the National Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Life is Very Good Rally, and of course, the March itself. It was inspiring to join with thousands of other youth from across the nation who feel strongly in the value and sanctity of life, and to be a witness!
We are grateful for the financial and spiritual support of the local Knights of Columbus, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
